The ANBERNIC RG556 boasts a 5.48-inch AMOLED touchscreen that can reach a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p, making it suitable for emulating a wide range of classic games.
ANBERNIC RG556's internal hardware boasts a powerful Unisoc T820 processor and Mali G87 graphics unit, with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports TF card expansion of up to 2TB.
The two joysticks (which are arranged offset, not parallel) and the triggers of the shoulder buttons rely on Hall sensors to prevent joystick drift. The joysticks with magnetic Hall effect sensors are considered more precise and longer lasting.
The 5500mAh battery provides up to 8 hours of playtime. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 2.4/5G 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.0.
The Android 13 operating system enables support for 30+ emulators and includes a six-axis gyroscope sensor for tilt control and vibration motor. It also supports 1080p display port output and moonlight streaming.
