As an owner of an Anbernic 40XXH, I was excited to try a nearly-identical (in terms of internal hardware) in a different formfactor with the 34XXSP. Internally, they have the same hardware specs, with the exception of the 34XXSP having an extra 1 GB of RAM. Externally, the 34XXSP has a smaller screen witha 3:2 ratio, instead of the 1:1 ratio of the 40XXH, and a clamshell formfactor meant to mimic the GameBoy Advance SP.
Good for GBA content, nice clamshell pocket on the go gaming
The anbernic rg34xxsp is a good device for GBA content. It has the proper 3:2 aspect ratio for pixel perfect GBA gaming. The screen is very bright and colorful. I don't find too much use for the analog sticks because 16:9 content looks a bit squished and 4:3 content can be a bit small. Overall I recommend this unit for GBA games although you may have to load your own backups, mine came preloaded with Sega but not Nintendo. I was able to just drop them in the proper folder on the SD card.
Great little handheld that comes preinstalled with thousands of games. It can play all of your retro favorites. My only nitpick would be the analog sticks are not the most comfortable to use. So overall a decent handheld with a great screen, the buttons and dpad feel good, the hinge is fine and feels strong.
This is awesome! It comes preloaded with a lot of games from old systems, and even arcade games. I’m partial to the PS1 so I went there IMMEDIATELY and my thumbs did a swan dive into Tekken 3!!! I loved all the Tekkens, but 3 stands out apecifically because I used to rent it from Video Warehouse and asked my parents to just buy it, but they said no (because they’d gotten it for me for Christmas but couldn’t tell me that, lol)…man, this really brought back memories. I haven’t made my way through all the games yet, but I’m excited to relive my childhood one play-through at a time. What a happy find!!!
